Hey guys. We're happy to announce that we just received our NEW harnesses in yesterday and our Diode Dynamics Bumper Mounted reverse kits have been UPDATED.
They now feature an OPTIONAL red-backlight (running light) with the option to have a brake light function as well (on the C1R).
For the past few years our Diode Dynamics reverse kits (the bumper mounted kits) were only reverse. No back-lighting. The ktis were developed around our existing Baja Designs kits (which don't have any backlight options). BUT due to popular demand we've finally updated them. We have new pigtails that we're including with the kits that are plug and play and support the running/brake function.
We're also giving you, the customer, the option to choose the backlight or not on the SS3 (which can save you money if you don't care about the running light feature).
As an added bonus, if you opt for the C1R kit you'll get the added BRAKE function. This makes the red running light to BRIGHTER when you step on the brake.
Agian this is for our kits that install UNDER the bumper. A lot of customers prefer this look along with the installation as it's VERY easy to install it and doesn't require a lot of wires to be ran, since we use a plug and play in-line pigtail for the factory tail light.

Also, another unique feature of our Reverse kit is we also give you the option to turn your reverse lights on from an upfitter switch. This is great if you are doing an off-road event and need chase lights. Just snap on some yellow covers and you've got chase lights. We also have built in protection so that when you turn on the lights from the upfitter your factory reverse circuit is NOT being back-fed power. This helps protect the circuit and avoid confusion to other drivers on the trail.
