I couldn't find something I liked on the market so I busted out the CAD. My cardboard aided design.

Totally not related tangent question not legally related to anything you see in this photo. Does anyone know what the torque spec is on a 2 door searbelt bolt? Or if one exists? Just asking outta total curiosity.

Will the factory logo be removeable with a heat gun?

Just flip it over if you don't like to support the maker.

@GlueBoy Note: Add logo to both sides of mounting plate.
You only need one side if you laser through both. Or would that still be two? Does a straw have one hole or two holes?

Does the mouth and (other end) count as 1 hole? Or 2?
Now I am aware there are rules to follow.

Nice work! Looking to see it hit the trails...

Wondering, if you looked into other materials than aluminum?
Not sure what the proper name is but, plastic with fibers (not carbon fiber) or without fibers in it?

Hey I very much appriciate that, I'm working hard to have very competitive prices and provide a good product, I just need to get all the backend stuff sorted.

Yep! I saw armadillo design ran into that issue a while ago. Plan for tomorrow is to learn how to make sure I'm following the rules.

I have access to a CNC machine. Send me a PM if you are open to discussing an alternate source to get them cut. I have the 4 door, and would love to see an option for that also.

You can do a glass filled nylon polymer or like a fiberglass reinforced plastic like polypropylene and polyethylene. I just have less experience in the plastic space and the suppliers I use currently don't use that material for typical jobs. But it can be something I explore in the future.

I appreciate it thank you. I'll reach out if I become blocked by it. Good to know, looks like I need access to a 4 door to make a solution as well!

Yep, that's what I was thinking. For me, that would be the option I would go with. So many molle panels out there in aluminum for heavy duty and purpose built use adds up in weight. Just looking to hang First Aid kit, flashlight, etc...

I hear ya. I don't have access to my CAD right now but some quick math shows each of my plates was shy of a pound. Depending on the aluminum alloy it can be very strong and very lightweight.

Nice, that's much lighter than I thought. Thanks
