Or is there a harness that plugs into the connector?

Or do I wire the speakers directly to the amp?

What are you doing? Adding an aftermarket subwoofer I'm guessing??

I left harness in place & just tapped into the wires (solder method) but ran a new 8ga wire for the amp

Isn’t the B&O amp right next to the sub anyway? The wire would be like 8” long. Any harness installed in the front by the ACM wouldn’t have the sub output anyway - none of the models would - sub amp and powered output is always back mounted on the sub enclosure.

I would not cut the wire or try to reuse it with a new plug — Just run a new larger gauge wire.

If you have a B&O system, metra / red wolf has a harness that will plug in to the subwoofer plugs. They are the same as the dash speaker harnesses. The other ends are spades. Clip the spade off and you should be good to go.

I just released the metal pins from the plastic plug that attaches to the subwoofer. I then pushed the pins into the pressure clamp on the new sub. The connection is solid.

I just want to make sure I understand 100%. Sorry I’m ignorant on anything more than basic audio stuff.

my power and ground go here:

My plugandplay wire goes from here to the pigtail into the B&O amp:

Then I can pull the wires from the plastic connector here and attach them to the kicker sub:

And I am not running any wires to the amp here:
