I was sideswiped a couple of weeks ago and sustained damage to both passenger doors. Has anyone on here had that happen? Wondering what their insurance will say about the repairs. Can the doors be "repaired" or will i need two new doors? Thanks in advance

Thats a question best asked at a body shop. The doors are aluminum so theyre gonna have to be replaced. As for anything else theres no real way to tell anything without seeing it and disassembling.

Aluminum is a replace-only type of deal.. if its much more than a ding, might as well file a claim

Claim is filed, just wondered if anyone has went down this road yet. Most insurance agents haven't had much Bronco experience yet. Currently waiting on the other drivers insurance adjuster to follow up.

Aluminum can be worked and repaired just like steel. The body shop would know more about this. Replacing the doors will be super expensive.

I damaged the driver door on mine. It's possible to buy either the door skin or a complete door. It ended up being a wash on the cost and way easier to just buy the new door.

pics would help, but aluminum usually will need to be reskinned and cannot be "repaired"

Could be repaired, might need skins or the whole door.
Without pics we’re all just taking wild guesses.

Pics? Ford offers the outer skin but by the time you pay labor to replace, you're probably at or very near the cost of the whole shell. If it got into the intrusion bar you replace the door. Retail on the front door is about $850.00, rear is around $800.00. $2K should catch the painting and labor to swap parts.
