Got home after a camping trip in Flagstaff, AZ, the Bronco sat outside in Phoenix 110 degree weather… remote started it to go pick up dinner and while driving the entire driver side window completely shattered. Only held in place by the tint, no point of impact so nothing hit it.

Anyone else have this experience?

Had to have been defect in glass, went unnoticed. Tint will save some cleanup time.

It certainly did, luckily we have zero glass deductible on our insurance and it was replaced the next day. I’m sure it also saved me from glass cuts. Pretty crazy experience!

Did it not do the "auto dip" when the door was opened? My rear driver has completely stopped doing it and I am convinced that when mu kids close the door it is going to do the same. lol

I'd suspect perhaps the temp differential stressing the glass. Gets really hot sitting in the heat, then AC cools fast from the inside once you start driving. We get hot too, down in GA, but not 110.

The door works normally, this happened while we were pulling up to a stop light. Just popped loudly out of nowhere!

It's been my experience that remote start and using the remote to put the windows down seems to cause the windows to lose their index.

I agree. Only time I've had to reset my windows was after using the remote to roll them down.

tint didn’t do anything. All glas has a thin plastic membrane in the middle that holds it together. It’s safety glass.
