Driving BLIND in heavy rain!

We get a lot of Thunder Storms in Florida and I instantly notice [I'm very perceptive] that water just flattens out and blurs everything. Is it because of the Flat windshield? Is my only option RainX? This is the worst vehicle I've driven in the rain, It's like looking through a Algae filled fish tank!

live in FL as well. Rain-x and get new wiper blades annually. I also use 4A, seems to help with standing water, ep if on only half the road. I augmented the rear brake lights because I am concerned about distracted drivers running up from the rear.

The stock bronco windshield height is about perfect to catch the semi trucks side water splash at 65 mph.

My F150 windshield is way better.

lol... you say that like it's a bad thing.... It's actually the best thing ever invented for driving in rain....

(Pro tip: after application, don't wipe it dry, just leave it foggy)

Griots 3in1 ceramic spray wax. And clean wiper blades every now and then.
I will add. White out is a real condition. It does rain heavy enough here in FL where it would be safer to get off the road and wait or take a slower road.

Have to agree, as a former resident of Florida, it rains HARD. Texas rains are like a light Florida sprinkle most of the time but there have been exceptions. I drove across Alligator Alley during a tropical storm in a 2500 pound RWD sports car pushing 600hp. It was interesting and my passenger was pretty sure we were going to die..

Definitely use Rain-X. Makes a huge difference. I use it on all the windows, not just the front.

What's everyone's favorite brand of wiper blades? I'm due for replacement.

Assume everyone is blind and has bald tire ......pull off to side road and safe parking area....this is what I do in snow white outs.

FL checking in, I do concur with others, rainX wiper fluid, it applies every time you rinse.

lost the driver's wiper in a snow storm 200 miles from civilization at 10,000 ft altitude on switchbacks....

I've used the AquaPel product for over 25 years. You have to be careful of all the fake product on Ebay and Amazon though. Be sure it is in the original blister pack and the price seems right or you'll simply get a coating like RainX or even just plain ole water in a tube.

This stuff chemically bonds to the glass and can last a whole year depending on how often you wash the vehicle or actually have to use your wipers due to rain. If you're going over 15mph you won't need your wipers though. This stuff sheds the water quick. The wife won't drive in the rain unless I have put this on her windshield since we first tried it back in the 90's.

I still don't know what wipers are best for the Bronco, but I know for sure that ScrubBlades are NOT worth buying. It's like they're not even trying to contact the windshield.
