DV8 Bumper

Alright, part of the club. Been waffling on a rear bumper for nearly 2 years. FS-15 it is! I felt it matched the OEM Modular the best, has the fit/finish and overall cleanest design out there. I’ll run the plate mount that comes with it - but, will likely get their bracket or otherwise.

Now I just need to sort out my Diode Dynamics lights….

Damn! I gotta say, I was skeptical of JeepandTruckParts.com - but, they came through. $874 shipped for the FS-15 rear bumper. Ordered Saturday of a holiday weekend and arrived at my door today.

It took a bit of grinding and filing the bottom edge (cutout is literally 1/16” too short) but, the @Diode Dynamics SS3 look great on the FS-15. Primed, painted over the past week and mounted today. Just need to figure out my plan of attack for wiring. I went with Sport Flood with Amber Backlight.

FWIW - factory tow bracket lines up perfectly. Magnaflow Overland Exhaust is tucked up nicely. Super psyched on the finished look as this was the last piece to complete my build that I began imagining in 2020.

Looks awesome! Just ordered the same bumper. How did you wire up those pod lights? I'm coming from an Outer Banks with fog lights on the basic plastic bumper. I don't have Aux switches so I guess I'll have to use their separate switch for the light bar but trying to figure out if I can connect those pod lights to the same connector my oem fog lights connect to so I can use my existing fog light switch on my dash.

I hooked up the pods and lightbar backlight to aux switches and the regular
Pod light to the oem fog light switch
But I love this bumper I had the plastic bumper also took me about 4 hours by myself plus I had to replace all the sensors

Do you have any pictures of the bumper with the rear door open. I am interested in knowing if there is a gap between the bumper and the body like on other bumpers. Thanks in advance

I don’t have a pic handy; I can take one tomorrow. But, there is a gap. I don’t mind it at all. It actually stays much cleaner than OEM because dirt doesn’t pool up. It would be nice to black out the painted area - but, it’s the least of my worries.

I'd appreciate the pics. As long as its not too big, i can probably live with it. Maybe its done on purpose for dirt like you said.

Different DV8 question. I know they’re “Offroad bumpers” but they don’t add a license plate mount to the they’re simple OE Plus model.

Have to modify their $50.00 plate mount to fit the bottom of the OE. Hopefully it bends in a vice without cracking

Aren't 99% of states requiring a front plate?

Somehow only 1 out of the 5 states that I have lived in required a front plate.
