Sounds like you've already justified the upgrade, and new suspension is a definite at some point even for a 2nd vehicle, but curious how many miles you have, what PSI you run and what you're traveling over when you "bottom out at speed".

I have SVC perch collars on stock SAS and have had very little bottoming out and run 20psi off pavement to smooth out the small bumps...feels pretty good approaching 10K miles, with a good amount off road. If I lived on a ranch and spent a third of my time there, I think I'd have a heavy duty compressor or Powertank on hand for quick air ups.
I’m around 14k miles, run around 18-20 psi while on the ranch and most decent dips at 15-25 mph. Bottoming out might be the wrong term or hyperbolic, but stock Bilsteins don’t like’em.
I have on board air and fast deflate valves.
I appreciate the collar idea but like you can tell, I’m switching the suspension.

Ok, 2024 BL Sas-Lux EG 35ā€ Yoko MT
Purpose; 2nd vehicle 30% DD - 30% Ranch Truck (high fence game ranch) Some elevation, water crossing, feeders, cams, fishing, etc - 10% CAMP/OHV. Winch & safari bar on front - half rack, recovery case, power station, air compressor, tailgate support, Roto on back

I’ve ruled out the $$$ coilovers based on purpose and sticking with 35ā€ mittens & rims. Most interested in better ride over ranch trails and rough dirt & paved county roads. Stock Bils seems rigid and bottom out with speed.

I know there are a lot of posts about suspensions, but would like opinions on the above 3 options (Eib, Dob, Bil) and pics of level/rake. Also did you use stock springs and stock UCAs? Not looking for much added lift, more level with a little rack to level when loaded in real.

Current pic & thanks in advance.

I went Bilstein 6100s, Icon UCAs and 37s. Ride improved and seems softer. Really happy with it so far.
Taking it to the trail for the first time next week since the change and will report back.

Sorry for off topic question..but I noticed your beauty rings. Did you have those powder coated or did you purchase them somewhere with that grey?

No worries. Powder coated and it’s dark copper. šŸ˜

Huge improvement on the trail with the Bilstein 6100s. Clearance, ride quality and rebound was a major improvement. Highly recommend. View attachment 724368
