Ok, 2024 BL Sas-Lux EG 35” Yoko MT
Purpose; 2nd vehicle 30% DD - 30% Ranch Truck (high fence game ranch) Some elevation, water crossing, feeders, cams, fishing, etc - 10% CAMP/OHV. Winch & safari bar on front - half rack, recovery case, power station, air compressor, tailgate support, Roto on back

I’ve ruled out the $$$ coilovers based on purpose and sticking with 35” mittens & rims. Most interested in better ride over ranch trails and rough dirt & paved county roads. Stock Bils seems rigid and bottom out with speed.

I know there are a lot of posts about suspensions, but would like opinions on the above 3 options (Eib, Dob, Bil) and pics of level/rake. Also did you use stock springs and stock UCAs? Not looking for much added lift, more level with a little rack to level when loaded in real.

Current pic & thanks in advance.

I know you didn't mention them, but WT Fox takeoffs with upgraded springs could work out pretty well for ride quality, they're just not adjustable. For what you're describing, otherwise I would bet the Eibach Pro Truck 2.0's with the HD springs or the 4WP VSRT's, both of which are adjustable. Probably stick with an adjustable shock.

I have dobinsons and did the full MRR 3-way adjustable w remote reservoirs, and replaced upper control arms, did the track bar the whole kit and kaboodle. Hard to help you comparison though because I’m on 37s.

great for trails, woods, farm roads, dirt and fields though!

I went with the full Dobinsons IMS as it was the only adjustable coilover kit available at the time with heavier springs front and rear. I also swapped out the upper control arms, lower trailing arms, and trackbar with relocation kit. Been happy with the ride despite the stiffest available springs. I doubt anybody has run all three systems for a direct comparison. That being said, all three kits are worthy of consideration now that Eibach and Bilstein also offer HD springs.

Running 35" tires...

Big fan of my Eibach coilover kit. I used their standard (non-HD) springs and stock control arms. Ride is very nice.

Near minimum ride height in the rear, front brought up to match over stock Badlands wheels and 33" tires.

Yeah I talked to one of their reps and they suggested Eibach & Dobinsons. He was very helpful.
When I had them I really liked the eibachs. They rode really well and the best part by far was the ability to adjust the height without having to take them off.

Bilstein 6112s on a 23 BD non SAS. Minimal to no rake. 2 inc lift, stock UCAs. 33" tires so some will think the Wells are empty but I actually like them that way

I’m getting the Bilstein 6112 installed on my 2 door Sas Badlands on May 9 to replace the stock Bilsteins. I will let you know my thoughts. My complaints with the stock shocks was they were too soft and would blow through their travel on ledges and rock gardens. Steep terrain the front shocks would be almost bottomed out going down a steep slab.

I am going the Bilstein route cus I don’t need reservoirs for what I do since I’m mostly doing slow speed trails. Just looking for a little bit of lift, keep stock 35s, and not mess too much with the geometry.

Here is my badlands sasquatch now on Dobinsons MRR all around, OEM wheels w 1.25” bora spacers and stickly mickley 37s. I had some rub on up travel w OEM fenders/flares, and at full steering lock in reverse w DV8 fender liners (front of inner fender, outer edge).

Sounds like you've already justified the upgrade, and new suspension is a definite at some point even for a 2nd vehicle, but curious how many miles you have, what PSI you run and what you're traveling over when you "bottom out at speed".

I have SVC perch collars on stock SAS and have had very little bottoming out and run 20psi off pavement to smooth out the small bumps...feels pretty good approaching 10K miles, with a good amount off road. If I lived on a ranch and spent a third of my time there, I think I'd have a heavy duty compressor or Powertank on hand for quick air ups.
