Hi friends,

This is more of a curiosity than an actual problem - just wondering if anyone else has encountered it.

My dear Bronco is a '22 black diamond, 2 door. Occasionally (veerrrry occasionally - maybe 4 times in the year I've had it) the speakers on the driver's side of the cabin just don't work from startup. All the sound comes from the right. I haven't done any modifications to the soundsystem (basic, no B&O) - though I do intend to eventually.

It's really not a big deal - when it happens I can kill the ignition, open the door to reset the electronics, restart the ignition and that has fixed it every time - something easy and quick enough to do at a stop light.

Since it happens so rarely and erraticly I have no idea how to begin to try to diagnose it - and since it's such an easy fix and has only happened when I'm in the vehicle on my way somewhere I haven't taken any time to try.

SO - just tossing it against the wall to see if anything sticks - anyone else experincing this?

Thanks for the read!

I also run into this sporadically in my 23 Wildtrak. The only difference is that it’s my front dash speakers that only produce sound. My steps to resolve it are the same as yours.

But I do have a completely modified soundsystem which makes it even more difficult to figure out. However, I suspect it’s a bug in the startup of the Sync4 system and not my sound system. It happens so infrequently and easy to resolve that I haven’t looked into it further

I have a 22 BD with all aftermarket and run into this sometimes as well. Have to shut the vehicle off to fix the problem. Electrical gremlins

Same here. Mid 23 build, B&O, it’s happened 3-4 times now. I just shut her down, opened the door and restarted her and it was back in business.

To those of you who have had this such issue ... did u ever have the notorious speaker pop when opening a door ... I have heard some say when they had the tsb/ service bulletin about it . That's when they started to get the intermittent issue this post was originally about

Curious about your speaker pop…..? Have you added an aftermarket stereo amplifier? After I installed my Kicker Key amp I had what sounds like the same issue…..it was the radio detect button for me. I had to depress it in and it stopped. Just spitballing here…..??

Yes I’ve had speakers just not work at startup. Resetting the infotainment fixes it. I want to report it to the dealership but I don’t want to put that much time into it.

I have not! Good to know there's a TSB though - does the pop happen when you're opening the door after shutting it off or before you start it up?
