Everglades NOT available??

I have been wondering if the storage drawer could be added on with the slide out tailgate.

Was there anything unusual about mounting them together?

It can but I had to drill holes exactly where the slide tailgate cargo loops are on the side of the pull-out drawer in order to anchor it in with stainless steel bolts and washers. In the holes on the side of the drawer, I used rivets so the 1.5" bolt can screw right in and this makes a clean install that way if I ever remove the top drawer the top of the slide-out tailgate has zero holes on top and looks great!

After I left the dealer I kept my order as a BD. Dealer said it would be scheduled soon as everything looked “clean”

I’m seeing Everglades orders made after me that already have build dates. I’m still in “order processing” Kind of want to go with the Everglades.

Buying cars is such a psychological experience….even when your ordering exactly what you think you want.

So the EG mystery continues....Ive been scouring the forums and far dark corners of the inter webs to figure out if EG order banks are closing.....I left the dealer with my original order unchanged.

I looked at loads of dealers and their available inventory. Maybe filled out a few forms to see if I could make an order. There are definitely some shady looking car dealership sites out there.

It turns out I get a confirmation email....for a 24 EVERGLADES about 10 mins after leaving the dealership (well before I started poking dealership sites)....I never got an email when I placed my order for a BD on 11/22/23

The email came from [email protected] It looks legit, has my name, my dealer location, and a different order code thank the code on my BD. Though it feels a bit scammy...it went to an email address I never used with my order. I feel like I'm getting phished here. Kind of afraid to click any links in it. My IT guy would be proud of me.

I'll give the Ford Chat girls a ring in the morning to verify.

But, my dudes, I might be able to go snorkeling soon!

You are fine with the email. Some people get an immediate confirmation and others never get any communication. Just Ford doing Ford things.

But you also need to understand that a confirmed order doesn't mean it will get built. There are plenty of examples of Heritage order holders where the orders were cancelled.

If you are set on the Everglades, then you should consider the one that is in stock. MAP has limited capacity. They release expected forecasts for what they will be able to build. It was mentioned earlier in this thread that Everglades build capacity is expected to be 3%. I don't know if that is exact. If it is true, then there is a good chance that a confirmed order will never get built. So in an indirect way, the dealer might have been speaking some truth in that the Everglades is not available to order within their allocation.

If I was the OP, I would consider the Everglades that exists on the dealer lot. A confirmed email is no guarantee that it will ever be built.

Help me out B6 family….im about to change my BD build to an Everglades. My build options basically penciled out to an Everglades.

The dealer says they are not taking orders for Everglades now. Telling me I can buy the ‘23 Everglades off their lot today.

Has anyone recently ordered an Everglades?

That's not True , as my dealer placed an order for my Everglades a few weeks ago . It will be a 24 , but still .

In Nov I purchased a used 22' black Everglades for just under 60k due to my impatience after waiting too long for my order to get scheduled. I ended up canceling my Big Bend order and placed an order on Dec 2nd for the 24' Everglades in hopes to flip the 22'. I then found out less than a week later my 24' EG received a Feb scheduled build date. My guess is there are dedicated weeks to build this model due to some of the structural differences. I never know how trustworthy sales people are and though he could be telling the truth, I feel like some major Bronco influencers would have come out and said they are done scheduling Everglades for the year.

Just ordered a Badlands mid Dec. Sales manager is one of my best friends and he told me that was his last Badlands allocation for 2024. So maybe Ford is not allowing your dealership anymore Everglades, not that it isn’t available to be ordered?

The Everglades on lot is a 23 at $66k. Does not include the slide out tailgate. The 24 has the slide out tail gate.

My BD build came to 58k, I pretty much optioned a BD to an Everglades without a snorkel or winch. The Everglades msrp is $58k. So for the same cost as my BD ordrr I pick up winch, snorkel, trail turn assist, and slide out tailgate.

Here’s the next curveball to my situation, but more of a red herring.. A different dealer down the road has a 24 Everglades at MSRP….posted on their site as available however the window sticker indicates it is a special order. The vin says the blend date is 1/12. Still waiting for that dealer to sell it to me instead.

Id get either that 23 or the 24 if they will sell at msrp. If the slide out tailgate in the ‘24 is just the standard Ford accessories storage system, then you can probably just message flip and get a good discount ordering it through his parts department.
