Got some trail rashes on one of my wheel's beauty rings. At least it's the ring and nothing too important. However, will this eventually rust?

I got them powder coated and would look to apply some gloss black paint or something to fix it visually and chemically to avoid any rusting. Worst case scenario I can get it redone, or buy one ring somewhere.

Looking for suggestions.

I thought they were aluminum?
They are & will not rust. Corrode maybe, but just scuff them on another rock
My suggestion is to leave it if you intend to use your truck 🤠

The rings on my raptor were scraped for years and never corroded or anything. You'll be fine but touch up will make it looked better

Depends on where you live. Around here, bare aluminum will corrode with the salt used on the roads and then bubble the black paint. Best to keep touched up.

Definitely aluminum. I have the silver ones on by BL. They scratch and scuff if they even look at a rock! Was gonna paint them to match the body, but after my 1st outing with it after owning it for less than 2 weeks, I decided 'Rock Rash' was the easiest look to maintain.

Corrosion is not an issue here - exterior metal parts last forever, while the plastic/rubber stuff dries, cracks, and turns to dust. Fortunately, I work from home, so mine spends almost all of it's non-driving time in the garage out of the UV rays.
