Hammered Finish on beauty rings?

Looking to see if anyone has tried this? I have a Carb grey Sasquatch coming and am planning on painting or powder coating the beauty rings. One thought was using Antique Pewter Hammered finish Rustoleum. These finishes have a reputation for being durable. if anyone has tried this, please post pictures.
