Finally Got Her Out in the Desert.

It took me a couple of months to find the time. What a blast. It really was everything I was hoping for. Last time I was at these two places, it was in a buddy’s F150. I was beat up by the end of the day. I’m fine this time.
Things I learned:
1. There is a pitch and roll screen. There is an axle monitoring screen. There is an Off Road Screen that monitors both. Only God and Ford know why.
2. averaged about 13.5 mpg off road, and I’m good with that.
3. Sand is no longer scary (sand is scary in a 9,000 lb. Super Duty <-Don’t Slow Down).
4. Tire minder is sensitive as hell to airing down and it’s a PITA to get them all equal again once you’re done. The 4 tire inflate /deflate system is a must. Never bothered airing down before. What a difference.

All hat, no cattle.

Dogs and cats sleeping together. His son did tell me he liked my Jeep. Ugh! I laughed. His dad was horrified.

Yes. These pics are on the FB page. They are really into rock crawling, which I like to sarcastically call canyonering. I’m all about exploring “my desert” but crawling, I have doubts. I guess I’m old, but I want to hunt, overland and ghost town. The Bronco is amazing out on the desert. Took a quick run to Knob Hill today, which was a completely different type of roads. Damn, what a blast.
