So sorry! Quick get a picture of engine build sticker if you can. Big effort to track these.
I know, I hadn't done it previously and then didn't think of it in the moment. Will see if I'm able to get in there or have the service department snap a pic.

What are folks thoughts on the factory brush guard? Having had transport damage to the front of my vehicle, I can say that the factory brush guard does not really protect the grill. I think it is way to close to the grill and not strong enough. It seems like it should be be a couple inches further out.
I think it's trash and I cant believe any one still has theirs installed.

My FE brothers and sisters, I think my engine may have croaked today. Still waiting for the dealer to look at it. I was driving this morning maybe 30 mph when all of a sudden I thought I heard some clicking noises from the engine, power drops, was barely able to pull over, engine dead. Only warning lights I got were a forward sensor failure and then a message telling me to pull over put it in park and restart. Was not able to restart. The starter fires but doesn't seem to engage with anything. Based on some quick reading of engine failures I have similar symptoms but no smoke from engine or exhaust. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. 😥

~2500 miles on the car, built in October.
If you're not following the 2.7 blown engine thread...
Heard back from my service manager today. He confirmed that cylinder 2 has no compression, so I have the dreaded failed valve. Waiting to hear back from Ford but he assumes and is pushing for a full engine replacement. He said there were 20+ of them somewhere in Memphis so hopefully the wait is not too long, but I imagine it'll be a few weeks. The part number on the assembly is new, so I assume something must have changed on Ford's end with the engine parts/construction. Hopefully the replacement is rock solid.

I'm sure this was in one of the 100's of postings on this thread, but:
Does anyone know exactly how many First Edition Broncos were actually produced? Any insights would be appreciated.
Also, was there a definitive answer to how to determine what # your First Edition is related to all that were produced?
My VIN ends in 853, so is it #853 of the supposed 7,000 produced?

~3500 4 doors and ~1000 2 doors. You need the last 5 of your VIN To see what # you are. 4xxxx for 4 doors and 2xxxx for 2 doors. The number signifies when VIN was assigned, not necessarily production order due to some being delaye/pushed back.

Thanks, very helpful. 42853 are the last 5. So a total of 4,500 First Editions will ever be made? How did you find / validate that information? Ford?

Had the RPG perch collar lift installed while I was on a family trip. Picked it up last night. Looks good and definitely levels out the stance.

I also just added the RSE power steps. Definitely helps entry and exit. Still has a bit of rake towards the from, maybe 5/8’s of an inch.

My wife is loving her FE Bronco! We just had the fenders painted and it looks great. Mods include:

Method 304 17x8.5 with 0 offset
Nitto Recon Grapplers 35/12.5-17
Fabtech 1.5 leveling kit

I’m waiting for Carli to release their suspension system for the Bronco which will be the next item on the list.

I wanted to paint the flares but after seeing how bad they get rallied I know they'll just be destroyed. Looks great, but not after a few dirt roads.

Surprised nobody has posted about the pending shipment in your FedEx account from Ford, for First Edition owners, with your VIN in the shipping info 😉.

(They are trickling out, don’t be worried if you don’t have one yet)
