Sorry Frank I was conversing with @604Bronco about different tape thicknesses to see if that would work from what he had experienced! The dreaded thread within a thread!

Get some fishing line and get out there!

No worries, these are all valid points and workarounds.

I'd be very surprised if this part is NEVER available though... what if someone gets into an accident and damages that quarter panel? Surely FE owners (and any owner, really) will have the opportunity to have the panel replaced and a new badge reapplied, right?

Interesting...they make some pretty thin tape. I have not seen any stand alone glue / liquid adhesive...hmm.

3M tape

This stuff might work considering how light the badges are...10 mil converts to .01" that is pretty thin.
Maybe, but the badges are much thinner than you see on most vehicles. I could be wrong, but I still think it would slightly stick up or if you didn’t cover the entire back of the badge with this 3M tape and pushed it down, you may get a small bulge where the tape is.

There is, and always will be, an aftermarket supplier for badges. It’s essentially just a sticker. I wouldn’t be too worried about it.

with this being a limited edition, i think ford might not be releasing these to the public, as they might end up on counterfeit first editions. it may need to be ordered and installed by a dealer...

Oh boy. Looks like they just flagged the "Preferred Series" badge as NR (Not Replaced). I would be very careful about taking them off since it doesn't like they are going to service these.

Wish Ford would have done that with the Cobra emblem so their wouldn't be more fake Cobras than real Cobras on the road. 🤨

Just got word from my dealer that the FE Badge "part" IS available for order. It's $58 and change for one badge, and ships from Detroit (4-5 days to California). Damn!

Do you have a part number or any insight on verification process to order? My local Ford parts guy couldn't find anything...
