I have a 22 Badlands 2.3 and towed it 1500 miles no issue. We got to our destination and it will not come out of neutral tow. Any ideas? I also had to charge the battery when we got here it was dead and I was told the 2.3 would go to sleep and didn’t have the EBB. Any help would be appreciated.

How are you powering your supplemental brake system?

OK that's good, by chance did you miss the last step and left the system in ACC mode?
The system is actually suppose to protect against the battery going dead.

I don’t think so. The biggest issue now is it will not disengage neutral tow.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 ( I think that is all you need) to reset the computer?

Here is my cheat sheet for getting out of tow mode. It is easy to miss the stuff on the instrument panel display. Look for the 2H on the mode switch to light up.

Switching Neutral Tow Off

1- With your vehicle properly secured to the tow vehicle, switch your vehicle to accessory mode by pressing the push button ignition switch without pressing any pedals.

2- Starting with the brake pedal released and the transmission in neutral (N), fully press and hold the brake pedal for approximately seven seconds and shift the transmission to park (P). Continue holding the brake pedal until the instrument cluster display shows 2H and Neutral Tow Disabled.

I towed mine over 8,000 miles this year and never a dead battery. Curious as to what happened.
