I thought it was pretty irresponsible of Paul to see that the air filter was wet and suggest even trying to start it. The owner had already said it was running when he shut it off. Do like @mpeugeot suggests and get it towed to the dealer and get it fully checked before trying to start it.

Air box is full of water and you run it? Why? I would've taken that intake apart back to the throttle body to see what was really going on. And I still would'nt have srtarted it until I could get eyes on everyhting. Some people have more money then brains.
this is why you dry it out, then pull the plugs and crank it first. doesn't take very much water to hydro lock it and bend the rods.

This. First order of business is pull the plugs and crank it over to expel the water and then change the oil. After that, see if she still runs.

This is why you start wheeling with a POS and not a Bronco. Bronco is way to capable and it gives newbies way to much confidence.
No, this is why you buy a good off road vehicle made to be beat on and use the Bronco for around town. And post pictures of both of your off road vehicles.

Water and Mud are your trucks worst enemy, I cringe every time I see someone fording a water body or hammering it in a mud pit.
Yup. But Ford doesn’t come clean on what it can and can’t do. They advertise 30 inches plus, post another video blasting through water. And then teach in the Off Rodeo water shouldn’t go over hubs and go very slow. I’ll go with slow and nowhere near 30inches plus in depth. Idle speed and hub depth seems safe.

Why do people keep insisting on driving through deep water???
Because they see it on youtube with an older vehicle and think "My new Bronco CAN DO THAT!" The problem with that is you do not know what was modded for that to happen, or if it actually made it.

I thought the same exact thing. He knows better!
