Looking at adding LED Pod Lights. Would like to have them go on with high beams. Has anyone done this.

I have JW Speaker lights on my wife's Jeep. Would like to replicate the high beam lighting level on my Bronco.

My thought is to mount them next to the mirror mount. Use a relay circuit. Connecting the feed power to an auxiliary switch.

Some how trigger the relay on/off through the high beam circuit.

I live in the country. Drive dark roads daily.

Has anyone done a setup like this?

If you hooking them to the high beams why try to wire a aux switch?

Should just be pos and neg to the battery, mount relay, tap high beam wire.

After lots of reading over the last few days and reviewing options with John at Specialty Performance. Change of plans.

New plan is to go with Baja Design lights in the fog light location.

Light/Hardware configuration is:
  1. Squadron Sport Driving Combo
  2. Squadron Sport Wide Corner Amber
  3. SC2 Pro Wide Corner
  4. Fog brackets
  5. Triple wire harness
  6. Parking/headlight wire harness
  7. 4 Plug & play relays
  8. Extension wire kit
  9. 5 Pack female weather connectors
Still need to work through details in series Amber to low beam and clear to high beam.

New lights arrived. Looking forward to getting them installed.

I have finally figured out how to turn the lights on automatically when the high beams are on. With the option to turn them on any time.

Here is my plan. Bronco OBX Lux with Mod bumper
  1. Replace headlight switch with fog light front headlight switch (Still need to figure out exact part number)
  2. With Forscan, update parameters to enable fog lights
  3. Do not enable fog lights with high beams
  4. Connect Baja Design lights to 3 Aux switches
  5. Connect each Aux switch to a relay, terminal 30
  6. Connect 2 clear BD lights to relays, terminal 87A
  7. Connect amber BD light to really, terminal 87
  8. Connect fog light power & ground to all 3 relays, + terminal 86 & - terminal 85
I think this will work. When the fog light plug has power. The clear Baja Design lights will turn off.

To use clear BD lights in manual mode. Turn on Aux 1 & or Aux 2. Fog light switch off.

To use clear BD lights in auto mode (on when high beams are on & off when high beams are off). Turn on Aux 1 & or Aux 2. Fog light switch on.

To use amber BD light. Turn on Aux 3. Fog light switch on.

I will try to add a wiring diagram sketch.

Completed the installation. Including the lights, headlight switch with fog light button, and Forscan programming changes. 3 Relays installed next to the master cylinder.

Works great. Clear BD lights turn on and off automatically with the high beams.

Will get better pictures on the street. Once the temperature warms up. Currently -10 with a windchill of -28. Very cold.

Nice install! I was looking to do similar, except I’ve got a set of DD ss3 sae fogs and 2 sets of 2x ssc2 pro driving lights. The intention would be to use the fogs all the time. But then use the Aux switches to control the SSC2 lights behind the fog switch. So when traveling on country roads the auto high beam will enable the fogs and I can switch on the Aux switches, then the high beam will enable or disable everything.

Nice install! I was looking to do similar, except I’ve got a set of DD ss3 sae fogs, 2x ssc2 pro driving lights. The intention would be to use the fogs whenever the headlights are on. But then use the Aux switches to control the other 2 sets of lights, but they’d be controlled with the high beams. So if the high beams turn on, but both Aux switches are off, then the Aux lights can’t turn on.

Turned out rad, any chance you can post fog switch part number and FORScan parameters? Also the module or wire you tapped into for the fog portion? I have a base sas no fogs thanks

How do you like the driving lights mounted by the mirrors? Also, which relays/ bracket did you use?

Thanks!
