I ordered the hoop steps on my Badlands. I don't do the extreme off road stuff so I'm not worried about the fact that the hoop steps won't carry the weight of the truck. The HS's are very nice, glad I got them. I got to thinking if the steps would fit the actual OEM Rock Rail. Haven't been able to find anything on this. Going to ask the dealer tomorrow. Was wondering if anyone has tried just the Ford HS on the Ford RR. I know you can but 3rd party steps to fit the RR, but the steps were more expensive then the HS option.

Thanks

The HS cannot be mounted on the RR.

The iAG steps attach to the Badlands rockrail, and are removable. All you need is a hex wrench and an adjustable crescent wrench. I have the full-length, and endorse them heartily. They also come as per-door steps, get one or two pairs depending upon your rig.

Thry are designed for RR. I ordered from factory. The picture is from delivery day
To my understanding if you ordered hoop steps you got a whole different rail. Its not the standard rock rail.

Thats correct, I was hoping he bought the hoops seperate and figured out how to mount to the standard Rock Rails...

I ordered the steps from the factory with the Bronco. If you bought them after the fact, it looks like you'd have to drill a couple of holes. I haven't taken them off but they are removable.

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably do the IAG steps. They are higher clearance than the OEM steps. I do love my OEM steps though. If I do some serious wheeling, I'll just pop 'em off.

Well now I feel dumb. Pay extra for less features. Not sure they had that fine print when i order. If i knew it would lose the standard rock rails i would probaby never order it. I wil probably never use the rockrails either.... so be it.
