If you don`t cut the blank, you are setting yourself up for a problem. If your Bronco is all locked up and the battery goes dead, you need the key to open the door.

But I have 2 cut keys already - the fob I carry with me has one of the cut keys. It’s just the third key that I left blank in the console. I’ll cut it if l lose one of the original two key+fob sets.If you don`t cut the blank, you are setting yourself up for a problem. If you are in the SF Bay there’s a locksmith in San Jose who cut my blank to match my Bronco perfectly. It was $53 but I able to get a programmed fob and matching key for under &125.For my extra remote. It came with the built in key blank. Has anyone cut this key to match your Bronco? Do you need a special locksmith?
