Gobblers Knob

After multiple attempts to find an open route to Gobblers Knob in the Tillamook State Forest we finally find success. Because of private logging lands to the south of Gobblers Knob it's not uncommon to find locked gates preventing access to the area. But north of Barney Reservoir it's a mix of state and BLM lands which are typically open. In addition the North Fork Trask River area is quite spectacular.

There are previous videos showing previous attempts. Which reinforces that just because you don't reach a planned destination you can't still have an incredible time.

Fun day! Glad we found a couple spots to challenge the rigs a little at least. Glad we were able to keep the tradition of a post-run brisket sandwich.

Amazing work on the drone footage - as awestruck as we were from ground level in many spots, the aerial views were just next-level. Couldn't get a sense from the ground of just how huge that spillway was, since everything was fenced off.
