Am I the only one who likes wind and tire noise? It helps drown out the tinnitus which was probably at least partially cause by wind and tire noise.

I'm tall enough i have to put the seat all the way back to drive.
Is there a drivers side arm rest supplement? I can't begin to reach the thoroughly inadequate door panel arm rest.

I'm may have to sell the bronco...

it is good news, they are getting rid of their Bronco so someone who wants whistling windows and middle console window buttons gets what they're after. As least we don't have to hear them whinge on about it incessantly, guv'nah.

Actually has 23 posts, almost all in vehicle tracking threads.

Unfortunate that he expected an off-road vehicle with a removable top to be quiet and roomy inside.

Recalls and warranty issues are a legit complaint...but the rest reads as someone with expectations that could never be lived up to.

As noted by Bugkillah, he's been here four years. Not a troll despite a superficial similarity.

Another victim of failure to thoroughly examine, kick tires, test drive and generally research a new vehicle. Gonna lose some money on the sale. shame.

Before I got interested in the Bronco, my wife and I were looking for a new daily driver. It needed to be comfortable, roomy enough for our very different bodies (very long torso vs. very wide hips), and easy to use and live with.

So, off to Consumer Reports and a lot of other researching. Then, off to dealers to try out vehicles in person, first by just getting in and sitting in them before selecting a few for test drives.

Because we were having a really tough time finding something that fit both of us, we were looking at a wider and wider range of vehicles beyond our target of a hybrid smallish car or crossover: Fiat 500 (ironically roomy enough for us both, but a tin can on wheels)... even full-size trucks and big SUVs that would be total overkill for us.

One time we saw a Bronco on the dealership floor and tried it out. It certainly looked cool and would be a great replacement for our very old 4x4. However, it struck us as too utilitarian, kinda cramped, and just not what we wanted for an everyday vehicle.

So we got the passenger version of a small commercial van, with a good step-in height for my wife (foot issues) and a roomy cabin, among other benefits. Thanks to its commercial heritage and different proportions, it's also way cooler than the minivans out there. It's got a lot more head room, dual rear doors, and fantastic visibility. (OK, it's 'uncool' to some because of the sliding doors, but IDGAS.) After three years it still works for us and is great on road trips, even if it's a bit of overkill for going to the grocery store.

We didn't just buy the first thing that looked cool. Instead, we did our due diligence and it paid off.

After that, I still wanted a new 4x4 to replace the old one. I started looking at the Bronco again because it had an available stick shift. By the time we ended up with one I was already in love with it.

When I get into it, it feels cramped in comparison to the van. OTOH, it'll do all kinds of stuff the van can't do. When I'm on the trail or driving in snow, I feel happy in it because of its capabilities and user-friendliness for those use cases. On the highway to and from the trail, it's still my adventure-mobile. Any time the highway is going through public lands, I can head off on a side trail if I want to. It has a few irritations but they're worth it when I'm using its capabilities.

So, due diligence, use cases, and reasonable expectations!

Well I just cant take it any longer , Basically the bronco is not user friendly and it is just to dang small . No window frames on the doors leads to whistling on windy days , the window switches in the center console is just plain maddening , the two piece tailgate with spare tire is ridiculous and all the recalls are unbelievable . Off to Carmax .

Now c'mon y'all (Brittney Spears accent). @Seasnake has some valid points here. I think I'm going over to his camp. He's got me really reconsidering a lot of my life decisions. After owning two Broncs, spending God knows what on various, stupid, aftermarket mods and swag nonsense (shirts, coasters, garage signs, coozies, etc.), attending two Off-Roadeo events, I think he's right. I don't think he's trolling. I think he's had a clarifying moment.

I've never enjoyed the lack of leg room on my Bronc Rap and I don't like the plastic feel of things. Feels cheap! Can't seem to get the hard top to ever work and my battery charge on the motor goes 'tits-up' in about 25 min. I think the high pitch whining of the motor is ridiculous for what I paid for the thing. "Off-road" capabilities are Meh! And I can't stand that Ford did not offer color matching fenders when I purchased this thing.

Whose got the number for Cars For Kids? How does that forgettable little jingle go again?

Oh I forgot the E brake switch that I'm always fumbling with . Truth is guys I pre ordered this thing way back when it was a $100 down . I was really hoping it was going to be like the OJ bronco size but now I'm getting a F150.

Shit, I’ve lost track of recalls and I’ll be on my second transmission and third transfer case after 16 months and 28k miles when I get my Bronco back from the dealer.

I haven’t even thought about quitting on it. I can’t wait to get it back. Life is just more fun with the Bronco.
