Thanks for posting this up. Got white ones and installed and was disappointed about the black not matching the tan dash. Didn't even think of taking them apart and swapping stuff.

I think the black end caps were fine....BUT...I do like the look better swapped over to the matching tan. ;)
I may be feeling the same. I thought I'd like the black, but it looks unfinished. Tan end caps pulls it all together.

Never have gotten the "upbadging" thing.

Those that do not know, do not care. And, those that do know will just look at you from a high elevation.

What is upbading?
Do you mean up-badging?

Because this isn't that. This is personalizing your vehicle.
It's not our fault Ford decided to stick us with clashing interior accent colors.

Blue = OBX
Orange = Badlands

Changing your badging to a higher trim is upbadging. And pointing out typo's doesn't change that.

So if I put in brown leather seats from OBX in my Badlands, am I down-badging?
Is down-badging looked down upon? Or just up-badging?

I think red is Ford Performance, or Heritage.
You're safe if its Ford Performance, I think those parts are allowed.
If you're impersonating the regular Heritage, then I think you're down-badging.
But if you're impersonating the Heritage limited (forget the name), then I think you're cross-badging.

What say you @toymaster ? Can we get full list of trims in order? Lower to higher, or higher to lower.

I definitely don't want to be a cross-badger :oops: :oops:

It's a personal thing. Has nothing to do with tricking anyone. Really could care less what you or anyone else thinks about it. Ford interior designer putting blue accents in a vehicle that has no other blue anywhere else was stupid. Just so happens mine is Race Red, so these pieces work.

See you at the mall!!

I think they did it in ours to match the blue stitching in the seats. But you can hardly see that so the handles def look better in red!

Can't see mine anymore since the Bartact seat covers went on.
