Has anyone with a '21 been able to get their hands on the parts for the rear camera replacement recall (23S48)?

I'm located in Canada and trying to sell my Bronco. I've had over 10 wholesalers from the states want to buy it and they give me decent offers. Then the run the VIN and say they no longer want it because they can't import a vehicle for sale with active recalls.

Dealership says they can't see a timeline on the part at all. Hoping I can find one somewhere and purchase it myself.

AFAIK the rear camera recall is on hold until the cameras are actually available. I believe my recall notice stated 1Q of 2024. @Ducati1098 may be able to see availability.

@flip can probably give you a better idea of what all this means. I'm not 100% sure on the whole seed stocking aspect of this.

Kind of a head scratcher remarks. Either they're starting to send seed stock to dealers or they aren't going to send any unless it is bad and dealer contacts SSSC to get one.

Local dealer is refusing to do the work — I’m told that their parts department claims that only the dealer from which the vehicle was purchased can do the work / order the part because of limited allocations to dealers.

Seems really fishy. Anyone having similar experience?

My dealer (same as where I bought it) ordered the camera parts in early December, they received them in early February and I'm finally getting around to getting it serviced this Friday.

SEED STOCK means the dealer CAN`T order any ! They have to wait till Ford sends them some. How many you get depends on many factors NONE of which are known to the dealer. Good news now since this post started in Jan is they are off seed stock and can be ordered BUT still may be limited to one or 2 a week.
