Hey guys! Long time listener, first time caller haha. Been watching for a good 6 months, getting more pumped as the leaks came out. I finally decided to join up!

From Anchorage, AK born and raised.
I'm a Ford guy through and Through, I have zero need for another vehicle but I really WANT a new Bronco. My current fleet is great and will continue to be for years to come, but this will be my first Brand New vehicle purchase ever. Im planning on putting a reservation down on the 13th and want to order as soon as possible. Im still wondering what the pricing will come out to, but I set a limit of 55k so hopefully that will be enough to make me happy...we'll see.

Here's a couple photos of my little fleet.

Wait what? Who threw a Chrysler in the mix? Like that white stuff under the Explorer.... haven't seen that in NJ in quite some time.

Haha, The Chrysler was my Grandmas had 40k on it when I bought it from her in 2014 and now 72k. When she heard they were going to stop making the Hemi and AWD so she went and bought a new '14 which has 18k miles on it now. It's been a fantastic car though, 1 set of outer tie-rods, brake pads and fluid changes that is it. That picture of the Explorer was in late May this spring, we had an OK snow year over our average of 75" or so.

I’ve never been to Alaska, always wanted to! I feel like y’all are our sister state, pretty much the exact opposite of AZ but similar in many ways too. Funny thing is my Jeep was initially sold there, so it’s lived in two opposite places! Wish I could bring it home for a trip, but will probably leave that for the Bronco ;)

I would recommend it! It's a truly great place even in mid winter!

We’ve got a saying ‘round these parts; “you don’t have to shovel the heat” :ROFLMAO:

As miserable as AZ is the south and even east coast is way worse IMO. I’m in Phoenix and just went on a 30 minute walk to pick up a package, it’s 115° and 15% humidity right now. Is that miserable? Absolutely. But it wasn’t like I was going to die. But compare to say... Houston? They are at 99° and 40% humidity, which is honestly pretty low for them. I’ll take the 115° any day of the week.

Oh man, no thanks! Definitely too much heat for me. 70s is absolutely perfect here. With the low sun angle and nearly 24 hours of daylight in the summer 70 here feels 10-20 degrees warmer then in the lower 48. I can't handle humidity either.

I try to do as little shoveling as possible and let the truck do that work.

Welcome! I grew up in AK not too far south of you on the Kenai Peninsula. I go back every 2-3 years and miss it more as time goes by.

Good to have ya!

AK is on my list of travel places. It's predicted that in two years we should have a big solar cycle which will make the aurora borealis very common. I'm crazy for mountains but I can't move to Colorado because all of the idiots from California are moving there and driving property prices through the roof. Alaska may be a good place to move to.

God, I love Alaska! Been there 3 times over the years and would have been back this May but the Denali climbing season got cancelled. Mainly been to Talkeetna and Seward but would love to get out to some other areas - it is just so damn big!
