I've heard nice jeep a few times now. I expect it will happen in the Bronco too. I just say thanks and move on.

I think the term "Jeep" has become a generic term for an off road "Jeep" like vehicle. Living in the south a lot of people call all different brands of soda "Cokes". What kind of Coke you want, I'll have a Sprite.
I thought they call soda "pop" in the south? I guess it depends what part of the south you are in.

The do in the midwest, I'm originally from Chicago and grew up calling it "pop", took me awhile to adjust to "soda" or the generic "Coke". :)

Do they really call it "pop" in Florida?

I've heard a few people say it, but maybe they were originally from the midwest. It's pretty rare to find someone that actually grew up in this area of Florida. Most people (like myself) moved here from somewhere else.

If I ever end up in TX I guess I'm sticking to beer, I can't stand big C Coke and not going to risk it.

Well, Jeep was the first and like Aspirin, Jacuzzi, Scotch Tape, and Kleenex, all brand names that are used as a generic term. Like it or not to the average person we have a "Jeep" o_O

To me GP was always a generic term, some people just claimed it, whether they know their history or not.

Actually with the advent of World War Two, Ford made "jeeps" concurrently. So they were in at the ground floor of the vehicle, not second.
