Hey nice Jeep!

Anyone else get this annoying "compliment" from people that are oblivious to the fact that Broncos even exist out in the wild? I've gotten it a bunch of times, and it's never been in a condescending way from hardcore jeep people, just an oblivious way from people that just don't know any better. Sometimes I explain that it's not a jeep and they look puzzled. Other times I just say thanks and move on with my day. Just curious to see if others are getting this "compliment" as well.

I've encountered this annoying compliment many times over 40 years of EB ownership. Just smile and say thank you. 99% of them are just being nice.
I have not heard it in the '21. Most folks I have encountered see it is definitely not a shjeep.

When I was in Manhattan yesterday, this older guy not only knew what it was, said his 19yo son was working his ass off to afford one as he wanted a Jeep until he found out they were legit and not just rumors

no jeep comments yet, ill just smile when it happens though

I mean as long as it makes them happy, their lack of taste doesn't affect me lol.

People that have no clue at all. In 1978 I was driving a Toyota Landcruiser and people would say "nice Jeep"! Same with my early Broncos too.

And my pristine show vehicle 1997 Jeep Wrangler barely gets looked at at car shows. I sit with it and few people look at it and say - wow nice Jeep- brand new? They figure there are so many Jeeps why bring one to a car show.

I have the same reaction seeing a car drive by with the tires cambered out, or the fake nuts hanging off the back of a truck with low profile mud tires, as I did watching two girls one cup. If it makes someone else happy, good for them. I still think it's gross

I think the term "Jeep" has become a generic term for an off road "Jeep" like vehicle. Living in the south a lot of people call all different brands of soda "Cokes". What kind of Coke you want, I'll have a Sprite.
