Yep…. I cringed when I saw it. This is the first time (of a few new vehicles) that the dealership didn’t hand me the plate bracket and give me the choice to drill through and ruin my own front end. I live it CA, a mandatory front plate state - I get it. But jeez, give a guy a choice!

It bothered me SO much I ordered the front valance from Ford to get it replaced. Came in yesterday. I just have to get it color matched and installed now.

The dealership’s “courtesy” is going to run me about $800 excluding removal/installation, labor which I’ll do myself.

The purchase could not have gone better (excluding the dealership’s “courtesy” ruining of my front valance to install the plate bracket).

As for packages:
- No carbon, code orange
- Driver Assist (Pretty sure it’s standard on the Raptor 374A factory code)

Add-ons:
- None

Shopping experience:
- I shopped around for the better part of a month. I initially looked at the Raptors in early August, but was immediately deterred by sticker prices ranging from $96k - $104k. Great looking rigs, but no way! I lowered my expectations and looked at competitors like the Silverado ZR2 Bison and Rubicons. I was minutes away from a deal with Chevy on two occasions. I had to pass based on what they offered for my trade. No deal. I gave up on the search.

I happened to check my local Ford dealer’s website on Labor Day weekend and saw mark downs on their Broncos. So I decided to swing by to chat. I was VERY lucky to coincidentally be greeted by my neighbor of 14 years, who I knew worked for Ford in some capacity, but had no idea he worked for that specific dealership.

In summary:
- MSRP $99,154
- Paid $90,723 (Including mark downs, incentives, etc.)
- They gave me $8,000 over competitors’ offers on my trade
- No BS “magic sprayed-on unicorn dust, track your vehicle from Mars security systems, nuclear bomb-resistant paint protection film, IED-proof tire protection packages, extended cup holder warranty, OR fairy fart-filled tire air”…. You get the picture.

To be fair, 420+ Market Day Supply, in addition to most their Raptors exceeding the target 45 “lot rot” threshold, plus the 2025’s rolling off the trucks any day now, all helped my cause.

Probably the smoothest purchase of my last six. Honestly, had it not been for my neighbor, I think the story would have been very different. But I’m happy it worked out so well, AND with my first choice when this car shopping journey started over a month ago.

I live in CA too but I would not have purchased with the license plate. Braptors do not look good with a front plate so I’m never going to put mine on

Agreed. My brother owns a shop and I just got the Braptor back yesterday from tint and full graphene coating all around. I do want to get PPF, at least on the front end. That’s next on the agenda.

Couldn’t agree more. Can’t wait to get the new valance painted and installed. It’s funny how much two small holes bother me. My wife is like “You can barely see them.” Sure, but I know they’re there!
