I know this has been touched on in many other threads, but wanted to start a direct thread on it. CV Fab was supposedly going to come out with one for the Bronco Raptor however, none of us have been able to get a confirmation from them. Looking back to when I had my full front end off. I'm not even sure if a high amount is possible. I had asked designed by Moran if he would build something like he did with the raptor R kit he sells, but unfortunately he won't. it doesn't seem like there is a lot of interest by manufacturers in actually making one for the Bronco Raptor.

I caved and got a black Cobb one. Obviously not high mount but an eady install and far superior to stock. Waiting to install to get some good temperature logs on repeated runs before and after.

Hey @Tye - Wanted to jump in here and share a bit of exciting news. I can confirm that we're actively working on developing a standard and high-mount intercooler for the Bronco Raptor. We're still very early in the process so I can't speak to any timeframes just yet, but I wanted to let you know this is coming!

I went with a CP-E intercooler. Easy install and was well designed. I need to get some temp reading from it, we are currently in our "Winter" months here in S. FL.

I did CP-E as well, I like the internal divided runner which helps with throttle response/turbo lag. I'm not sure I'd do a high mount due to reduced cooling to the radiator. Ideally, both the intercooler and radiator have their own unimpeded air source for max efficiency. They're all using the same size core too so it's really just down to what. you want to pay and the small differences between them. I would have gone Wagner but they never responded to any of my questions.

If I were looking at it, I'd redesign the front bash plate with a slightly larger opening and fashion a sealing duct from it to the IC while making sure air is evacuated out the back.

Excellent news from Mishimoto above ^^^

I’ve got logs that show even the aftermarket IC’s in the stock location don’t keep charge air temps down on a “long” pull. Long being WOT beyond 1/8th mile. Keep in mind this also tune and weather dependent. The spicier the tune and hotter the weather the issue gets worse.

Ideally you don’t want the ECU pulling timing at all, obviously and I think the only way to minimize that is a fat front mount. Then you run into the possible issue mentioned above where the radiator is last in line to get airflow

Yes, ZFG says my manifold temps are warm enough at 60 mph from a dig to start cutting power. Way worse at 80 mph. E50 race tune, like yours. I just logged some data tonight on the stock IC to compare with my Cobb, which is waiting to be installed. I know it won't fully "fix" things, but I'm sure it is going to help significantly.

Glad to see Mishimoto has stepped up to the plate. I realize it is a Braptor but the basic structure is still Bronco. I would think maybe a change in connection to the piping, but the spacing between the frame rails should remain basically the same. I don't think it should take them too long. I love mine.

@Tye is referring to the large transmission cooler in the way, not the shutters.
