Hey guys, put together a comparison video of the stock intercooler vs the Cobb intercooler with temps and driving comparisons. Also have a video of the install for anyone that may need it. Let me know what you guys think!

I hate that huge gap it opens up to the radiator shroud when removing the stock intercooler. spikes your traffic charge temps and kills your radiator and condensor air flow from the fans when stopped.

the radiator is behind the grill not behind the intercooler. ive never had coolant/ac issues with my cobb ic

Howdy, I installed the Cobb intercooler on my '22 WildTrak over a year ago along with AFE hot and cold charge pipes and Panda Power Module before the HP tuner option came out.

Been happy with the results and performance while towing across the county. Fits fine with the front active louvers installed on my stock plastic bumper, just doesn't have the rear passive louver set that's attached to the stock IC.

Cooler temp spark plugs and whole setup from Panda Motorworks helps across the board, but I always leave my AC on when riding with windows down now since the fan definitely helps keep engine temps down. Doesn't seem to restrict any airflow with fans on or off for me, fyi. I experience lower overall temps both ways versus my stock setup ;-)

Nice work. Thanks for sharing. That said, I suggest more, longer and harder pulls. Hard now that you don't have the factory. In other words seeing if the IC actually counters heat soak.

lol. I am very aware of where the radiator is. I am talking about the huge bypass that is opened up by intercooler swaps like this. It effects every raptor and some 2.7 broncos, mostly Badlands that have the intercooler that shares ducting between the radiator and intercooler. It can be seen in the linked install video.

i know at least a dozen raptors/2.7s that are running this exact IC and not had the issues youre describing, so I wouldnt say "every raptor and 2.7". and ive been up and down death valley over 110 degrees with the ac on and a ton of weight. but even if you did you could easily pick up a neoprene sheet for like 6$ and make your own shrowd with some zip ties

You just reuse the entire shroud. I removed the front active flaps but kept the back flaps in place. Easy.

It's been talked about on these forums before - a lot of folks either make up some new shroud, or just hack up and re-use the old one.
