Were you able to at least take delivery? I'm in a very frustrated spot with my dealer right now. Bronco arrived at their dealership on Tuesday. I went in first thing Wednesday morning and signed the paperwork. They told me they just needed to install the tow hitch and that it would be ready later that day. They texted late in the day saying it won't be ready but should be Thursday. They just texted me again saying now it should be ready tomorrow (Friday). Confirmed with him that they have the hitch in hand and it's just waiting on install. Was now just told "the install with all the wiring and everything takes 6-10 hours of labor." That seems like total bullshit to me. The Ford install video say it take 60 minutes. It's 4 bolts. Doesn't this come pre-wired from the factory? Does it really take 6-10 hours to install a tow hitch on a brand new Badlands?

I'm now asking them about cancelling the service plan and extended warranty I agreed to yesterday and will see what they say about this.

Am I overreacting or is 3 days ridiculously long to install the tow hitch?
Yes - drove it home yesterday morning. Tires/4A passed our driveway hill climb test :ROFLMAO: . A pain to have to go back for the hitch....although in my case won't really use it 'til spring.

That communication sounds like my experience yesterday.....sales guy being defensive "not my fault, talk to the parts department"....dude, just apologize and say we'll let you know as soon as it's ready....

Long story short, happy to have the BL - sorry about your runaround

Seems like someone at your dealer is misinformed. In previous years, the Bronco didn’t come pre-wired without the tow package, so that estimate probably would’ve been correct then. Starting in MY24, all Broncos come from the factory pre-wired so you’re correct that it should be a very quick install. It sounds like your dealer isn’t aware of the change.
I just "informed" them. Will see what they say next. Thank you for the info and confirmation that this should be pre-wired.

In the same boat as all of you. Picked up my 24 Badlands on Saturday the 27th. No trailer hitch. Was told it would be shipped separately. They said they would order another one and give me a call when it’s ready to install. I just called the dealership and asked the status and was told it’s sitting there waiting for me! Have it scheduled to be installed on Saturday.

Was told by the dealership it would take four hours to install and they’d have to cut the bumper. Scheduling person said he came from Subaru and that’s what they had to do there. Admitted he did not know anything about Fords. Sounds like the dealership doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Will let you know on Saturday afternoon how long it really took

Interested in this thread as my order has hitch as well although I don’t need it right away.

I know it sucks to be without your hitch, but, before '24 you would have been without your entire Bronco. When hitches were constrained they just didn't build your Bronco until they got the parts. Consider yourselves lucky.
Sorry you and many others had to wait for your builds and I waited 6 months for mine to come, which is nothing compared to some

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but my badlands was delivered last May without the trailer hitch and the Dealer just received it this week, so it was a 9 month wait for me.

Lol at waiting 6 months and bitching about the hitch wait.
If you need a hitch so bad, it's $100 and 4 bolts

lol? When you already paid for it as part of the build and go out and buy another one. Makes sense. NOT. And this thread was to see if anyone has any information on the delay and give a heads up to anyone else who has a 24 coming in. Go troll somewhere else.

If you really needed it you could make it happen, sounds like you don't. Where were you in 2020? 6 months is a joke.

As a new member and first time owner I am beginning to see a common thread in this community. Lots of people who are still bitter from what happened to them 2-3 years ago. For the 50th time, sorry it happened but grow up and move on. That is no reason to hijack every post. “I dont want to?”……..want to what. Pay for another hitch that I already paid $500 for? No thanks. Glad you have $500 of burn money, not me. Thought that was the purpose of this community to keep others informed? Guess it’s turned into a pity party for the people who bought during the pandemic.

Don't need or want pity, seems to me that's what you came here for. I'm just telling you you aren't getting any. I told you how to fix your problem, you didn't like it.

Block me if you want, (tap on my name and click "ignore") but people keep bitching about first world problems without putting in any effort to fix their own problems. Tired of it.

You got 2 options, fix it or wait.

This post started as a FYI to those who may be in the same boat and see if anyone had additional information they could share. Your comments are unnecessary and contribute nothing to the thread. I apologize my thread invoked such animosity and hurt your feelings. Wow.
