Hello everyone. I've been a broncos fan for over a year and a half, and I've had my own on order since July. Like most of you, I was patiently waiting and checking in with my dealer every month or so to see if there was an update. I went to check again last month, and my dealer said they hoped it would arrive by June, but I didn't want to wait that long. So I went online to see if any dealers had any leftover 22s, and to my surprise, there were many, some with still 5-10 adm. So I started offering 2500 below MSRP on some and you may think I'm crazy, but with the amount of inventory dealerships still have and, given the state of the economy, dealers should no longer be asking for adm. I received responses from some, and one dealership even told me I was insane. But I kept looking for a deal for another couple of days. I eventually found a Velocity Blue 2022 Black Diamond and offered them 55,000 (CAD) for the hell of it with a msrp of 59,100.The salesman seemed uninterested at first and said I'd have to come up, so I left it. I knew I had one on order and could wait, and I was only willing to buy a 22 if I could get a smoking deal. To my surprise, the sales manager calls the next day to say they will accept my offer. That's all she wrote.
My initial impressions are positive. I like how high the Bronco sits. The seats are incredibly comfortable. I'm coming from a Mercedes SUV, so it's a big change, but I love my Bronco. The audio system isn't as bad as some make it out to be; I had much lower expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I was worried about the soft top being too loud, but it's not as bad as some members make it out to be. Overall, I'm very excited about this purchase and am looking forward to driving it.
