How long does the leather smell last? (new car scent)

Lasted until I had to load up 2 wet/muddy dogs in the back, so about a week.
Good news is with the lack of carpeted flooring or cloth seats, the wet dog smell was gone in the time it took to watch a couple episodes of Star Trek. Just had to open the windows and let it air out.

someone mentioned that smell is mostly from the adhesives/plastics and that's what I have read elsewhere too
