Once the New Ranger (which the Bronco shares the frame with (not the current Ranger)) is out and Full Frame Width Hitches are made for it, that's when I'd look at a hitch that can mount to the Frame Rails or an aftermarket rear bumper which incorporates the receiver within it, as the current Cross Member (which is actually part Of the frame) IMHO is just "ok" and not "ideal".

Time will tell if someone (FoMoCo/suppliers) will offer upgraded components to improve the Bronco's Towing.
You may have a good point on the new Ranger. Looking at the Ranger Raptor hitch, it looks to include tow hooks, and bolt up to the frame where the Bronco tow hooks bolt up.

The trailer is quite long, but dual axle, and the car sits with most of its weight essentially on top of the axles, keeping the tongue weight very low. As long as I can get it level with the right drop down, I don’t see why the tongue weight would be excessive. I also would probably skip putting the extra set of wheels on the wheel carrier way up at the front of the trailer for the same reason. But would remain that if I did this, trailer and car would still be about 4500lbs, which is well past the rate stow limit.
I know there's the option of being able to bring a long a couple sets of tires as well (I see the rack at the front there), but you could probably get away with towing that Cayman pretty easily with a tow dolly instead. It would keep both the tongue weight and the tow weight down by quite a bit over your current setup, at least.

Mostly agreeing with everyone else here though, I think your existing setup might be a bit much for the bronco to do 'safely'

Yeah, unfortunately this is what I was expecting. But was hoping people would be like I do it all the time, and it'll really tow 6k all day. Wishful thinking, clearly!

I've considered "downgrading" my trailer to something like a dolly, but not sure I can get on board with not having the whole car on a deck. Shit happens at race tacks, and one day I might be not able to drag it home due to mechanical failure or an accident.

Good thing I've all this season to figure what to do! I mean, I need to find the positives in this long wait somehow, right??
