For this to be a plug and play installation, your Bronco needs to be equipped with the lighted mirror.

Visor Assembly W/Garage Opener - part number : M2DZ-7804105-CA

I used a trim tool to pop the cover off. The bolt is 7mm

For informational purposes, here is how the visor is wired (thanks @D2dhanover)

Edit to add remote programming instructions:

From HomeLinks website:
Programming Instructions

For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink® buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.)
  1. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (usually located on your visor, overhead console, or mirror), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
  2. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)
  3. Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light.
    • If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released.
    • If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light, proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. A second person may make the following steps quicker and easier. Please use a ladder or other device. Do not stand on your vehicle to perform the next steps.
  4. At the receiver (motor head unit), locate the “learn” or “smart” button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the device owner’s manual.
  5. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
  6. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.
Retain the original hand-held transmitter of the RF device you are programming for use in other vehicles, as well as for future HomeLink programming. It is also suggested that upon the sale of the vehicle, the programmed HomeLink buttons be erased for security purposes. To erase the programmed buttons, perform the procedure shown in step number 1.

This took maybe 15 mins to install and program.

I like the possibility of this. I have the lighted vanity mirror but how does it program? Through the tough screen or by the buttons on the visor?

Just ordered one. Not cheap, but its a clean solution and will work for garage and gate where there is no wifi. I know there are some of the other solutions posted that use mobile app and wifi/cellular.

$300?? Wow. Good solution but this shit is ridiculous that it’s not standard or locked behind the lux paywall

Neat, but WOW is that expensive as hell.
Adding a HL mirror for $60 that also gives me auto-dim.
YMMV.

Does it work with the ignition off?

Taken from my other thread where I gathered all the info:

"D2dhanover said:
From the service manual:

The universal transmitter and LH vanity mirror lamp are part of the LH sun visor and share the same power and ground circuits.

They are on the Battery Saver Relay so in theory they do lose power after 30 minutes according to that but also it defines when the 30 minutes resets and a door opening is one trigger for them to come back on"

So I've been trying to figure this out, I actually don't have a garage opener. I think they installed the wrong visor on my Bronco.. I have a First Edition w/ Lux.

If you have Lux, I think you were supposed to get the HomeLink opener in the visor automatically. How about wireless charger in the console?
