I'll eventually get around to changing the speakers in my '23 BB. I wouldn't bother with kicker myself. I've had good luck an results with Hertz, Polk an infinity. Crutchfield will show you what fits. You can get a solid set of speakers for under a hundred bucks a pair.

I recommend you put in 4 of the 4" Hertz just like @maus92 did. Then go from there, that is what I did and I am not sure I will go further. But I might.
Did you have to remove two of the tabs on the Hertz 4” to fit?

I got the hertz in the dash without removing any tabs. The passenger side was a tight fit. Had to pull out a christmas tree thing holding the wiring harness. Was able to tighten the bolts but it's a big magnet. Driver side went in easier. It was hard to get a tool in to get the grilles off. There's a video where a guy stuck a utility knife into the crack to open it up and used a small screwdriver to pry. That did the trick.

I haven't seen anything posted on speaker upgrade needs for 24's. Anyone know if changes were made in the 24's (forscan or hardware) that make it better straight from factory?
Doesn’t matter if they made a change or not. Most likely not. Anyways, OEM can’t do good audio. Never have and never will. They have to make it cheap.

This is the most useful tool on a modern automobile with tight fitting trim.
