What do you mean by bumpstop? I don't think this kit comes with any except for the ones on the shock shafts.
maybe the limiters for the 37's.

I like the 37's! I might get a pair. How hard is it put on and take off the limiters?

So I took it to cleghorn. I went by myself so nothing too crazy. The rear resivors did great. The brackets that worked great as little sliders for them. There was one spot where I slid a bit so I can see where they can get banged up. But watch what youre doing and you'll be good. Going back with people on monday. I'll be a better review with photos.

How are you liking the Icons now? I’m looking for some feedback on how they handle faster desert terrain.

They’re great! How fast you talking? I‘ve added the icon trailing arms, tubular uppers and billet lowers for a better spot for the rear hoses to mount to and to try not to bronco the bronco. Then I got their track bar and tie rods, I had the parts buying itch..

I also lowered all the coils about an inch and that completely changed the high speed comfort level from a 6 to like an 8.

I’m a 2 door, and a friend ponied up for the stage 8 on his 4 door basesquatch, there is a difference in comfort, but I wouldn’t call it a 4k difference.

Now the right tires, I have nitro’s for the dirt and kept the Goodyears for the street which I found to make the biggest difference for not throwing rocks and ease over washboards.

Before I put all the extras on, but after the stage 4, I beat the crap out of it and it handled way better than the squatch bilsteins. Worth every penny, but I’m chasing the dragon trying to get the best dd off road bronco possible.

If you’re trying to float over bike whoops, get the Baja kit, the kings don’t even do that very well in the bronco. I wouldn’t recommend long travel for daily driving. But light to moderate trails and rock crawling are where they shine the most.

At KOH, I drew some crowds going though the desert section of the track and chocolate thunder. It handled everything like a champ, I jumped it a little too muchy and it kicked my light fuse tap out of the panel and I did have to get some new sliders, kinda bent the sh*t out of them, no body damage thank God! If you’re near Norco ca I’ll take you out to show you what it can do.

I’m pretty sure you just sold me on the kit. Sounds like you use it for what it was made for. How is the ride around town when in DD mode? It seems from what I read they are firmer than the stock Bils but not in a bad way?

The icon’s are comfortable on the road. I’d say better planted over firm. They take the horrible roads by my house and those sh*tty little speed bumps better. Lowering them helped more.

It’s not a sports car so cornering still sucks, not any worse than stock. Braking is about the same. I kept tires at 35’s so I didn’t have to use the extra stops and kept the full articulation. I took the tow hitch off cuz the weight limits are hysterical, never got to tow anything. Mpg is the same.

Cool, planted instead of firm is better to me. Any insight into how they handle washboard roads? I’m thinking about those long roads in Death Valley.

I appreciate your feedback as I want the best solution possible which Icon has the travel numbers and from your feedback they handle well overall.

I didn’t get to go to Death Valley stock, but the Icon’s handled great and that was before I added the extras in the rear and had braces on the stock tie rods. The coils tore up the braces pretty good. I definitely recommend getting the icon tie rods so that’s not an issue.

I did do some high speed scootin on washboards in Johnson valley with both sets and the icons felt more in control especially the fast you go.

Airing down is the best thing you can do for washboards. I usually just keep them around 15-20 psi off road and that’ll suck up most washboard roads.

Has anyone come up with a solution for the rear resivors and mounting sliders? I've got a stage 7 on my Bronco and I can't believe I'm going to have to rig something up so I can run chassis mounted sliders. I feel like Icon really dropped the ball with those mounting locations. Wish I would have noticed the issue early. I would have gone non resivors or a completely different company.

We install the Stage 4 kits all the time and the Stag 7...The Stage 4 is in stock that I can see of and they are still on Special for a few more days. The Stage 3 is out of stock. The Stage 4 is a great riding kit on and off road, you can add the arms later if you want better articulation for off-road down the road. Sara, LGE-CTS
