Iconic is well represented on Ford lots at the moment...to my eye it has tons more character & body compared to Ingot. There are several videos on the web comparing the two

Iconic looks a LOT darker (and more interesting) than Ingot in this video. I was between black and race red, but this is making me re-reconsider:

Just get one of everything in iconic. Who needs a retirement!NICE! I've seen a couple F 150's at my local dealer in Iconic, they look even better in person. I keep tempting myself to order a new Iconic Silver Raptor. Maybe next year after I get my Bronco.

So whats f'ed up about area 51? Besides that it is the most popular which is why I am last minute chaging colors. LolSilver is a great color especially if you don't get to actually see the colors!
As ` said.... silver and white is everywhere... so its more safe, especially for resale.
Personally I think it adds a really solid and neutral base to draw out your accents.
Might be my final choice since they F'ed up Area 51

I'm having the exact same debate. VB or IS. Gotta order next week So Im in a panic!Does anyone have an actual full picture of this post on Instagram? I really like how the gray top goes with the silver. It may be between velocity blue and iconic silver now.

Me too. I wish 51 was a true light blue...the way they made it is like looking up at the lovliest blue sky ever...through the worst LA haze ever
VB is a bit harsh...and Iconic is a bit bland

I don’t know why they think it’s messed up but I saw it in person on a Bronco Sport and it was super dull. It doesn’t pop at all.
it looks good in some pictures but in person it’s whatever. It is like it’s almost matte without being matte.
to me IS really pops with a very rich color and the sparkly flakes.

Not that the color is bad, for those that like pastel blue, but when Area 51 was announced a ton of people got super excited until we found out Ford thinks aliens are blue and not green.

I got a look at Iconic Silver vs the older (ingot I believe but there was no sticker on the older truck) vs. Carbonized Gray today in the rain. The truck parked between Iconic & Carb was a pre-2020 model.
Iconic is visibly darker than the previous silver.
(I don't think the Explorer pictured next to the Sport is Carb Gray, it was a few years old).

IS, SB, and CG on the sport. It was a cloudy day and all of the vehicles were dirty as it had rained. I was going with CG until I saw in person. SB is not bad, but compared to other black vehicles I’ve owned, the depth of color is just not there for me. Going with IS in Outer Banks, squatch, 2.7, lux and towing package. Trying not to second guess myself...
