That's what I was thinking, if/when they fail that's not a breakable loss. I know it is a small sample size but the thread about the Oracle lights had some pretty mixed reviews.

Well. I am returning them. They literally broke apart as I was installing them. The part where the wire “locks” into the light source broke open. I was able to put it back together easily enough but then it happened again, even easier. And I lost one small part of it; the part that holds the light straight into the optic wire. Once I found it again it was crushed or at least out of spec and it would go back together but as soon as I pushed near it as I was installing them it broke apart again. Alas as I expected. Ah well.

your experience hasn't been a pleasant one, but I've had these in mine for about 2 months now. I had 2 issues when installing mine. getting the optic tube to stay seated right near the start/stop button proved difficult as was the area going around both grab handles. those areas could have been as much Ford tolerances as anything else.

I bet the team at f150leds would help you out if you wanted a second set to try.

I would take a replacement BUT I am not too found of how weak the connection from the light source to the cable is. I was literally just starting some test fitting to see how best to place the “brick” with the LED and power source when it just came apart. There was no pressure on it at all. After I got it back together. Tested it to make sure there was still power and light and before then started to push the thin side into the crack it came apart again. And then after re-reassembly it would not stay together even on its own.

I would try again with a new one but I’m not impressed with the quality.

I’ll see what they say when they get back to me during work hours.

do you have a photo of yours at night?

Dang … does look good lol
Yup. Like I said I’ll give them a chance for a replacement. I’m just very skeptical of how they will stay in place but more so the installation of the light box.

If you get it, make sure to post how you made it work!

They are sending me a replacement kit. I will for sure give it another go. I am now just concerned about the angle and/or the pressure I put on the LED/power "brick" that emits the light into the fiber. I think I might add a little glue or tape to the junction prior to starting the install just to give it a little more strength.
