And mud flaps are now on my list. Any specific ones you'd recommend?

I bought the regular Ford flaps. They match the contour of the flares better and they're cheap. Haven't installed them yet.

You always think you want vehicles to stay "new" but as I got older, I kind of like the patina the older used like they were intended wear on them now. I mean not wrecked or destroyed, but a nice used with memories and stories for marks and scratches.
Kind of like Corvettes. Most are garage queens, waxed, dusted, super low miles. I then see one out on the road that is obviously been daily driven without care for years, used like intended, enjoyed, miles racked up without a care, faded and scratched a bit, and I think that car is way cooler than the garage queen.

Totally valid points. This is my first custom ordered and truly new car. I'm sure I'm overthinking (as usual), but just want to have a list of potential things for when she gets here.

Hey all,

New Bronco comes in soon (in theory). I want to keep it pristine for as long as possible.

What are your 'must have's? Sill protector, cargo protector, dash protector, center console protector, etc. (links appreciated)

Mine will be a shadow black with black vinyl interior, so sleek and simple is my vibe.

What do you wish you had done differently? What are you happy that you did do? What did you do that wasn't needed?

Good detailing inside and out.

Mine will be 3 years old in 2 weeks and still looks great. The very first things I added were mudflaps and PPF on the leading edges and rocker panels. If you do PPF, get as much as you can afford. The folks that were able to do a full wrap can run through the trees and not get pinstripes. It's one of the best ways to protect your paint.

it's ironic that I have the most capable off road vehicle I've ever owned, and it's almost too pretty to take off the pavement. (Especially when you have another four wheeler that you can abuse without regret.)

I'm gonna be a bit contrarian

I love the look of a nice truck. And I don't go out of my way to demolish things. But as soon as I gave up trying to keep everything looking perfect, I started having a lot more fun in my Bronco.

I still wash it and wax it. I still clean all the dust out and vacuum. I haven't stopped doing any of the care that I used to do. I just don't stress out over the dings and scratches any more. Especially on the plastic, since it's so difficult to keep looking new. So long as each imperfection is made worth it on a good memory, I've made my peace and I'm cool with it.
