Looks like that damage is caused by someone sliding across the bolster with something metal in their pockets.

I have the same seats and worried about that happening. I try my best not to slid off the seat to get out. I grab the handle, lift up and step on the side step. I didn't want early wear from sliding. I have about 1500 miles, and have cleaned and conditioned the seats once already. Sitting in the sun probably doesnt help with the top and doors off like I have been for the past few days.

My leather does have the blue stitching.
