I went to look at the new Bronco that I saw online in town. I was like wow it’s at sticker price and a discount. I show up to look at it and the salesman comes out and says,”This is the last Sasquatch we are getting, they are not making them anymore”. I was like they stopped making it for a bit because of parts shortages. He then shows me on the window sticker that it has a $15k upcharge. Can wait till the market drops! Enjoy Sames Ford in Laredo, Texas!

Yep, still online with a discount, that is just plain dishonest, I’m being more diplomatic but your word fits.

The best is when a dealer has something listed on autotrader for like $58k, but for like $61k on some other site.

Spoiler alert: when you call them, the price is never $58k.

Dealer: "Oh, REALLY???, it's listed on autotrader at 58k? Oh no that was a mistake."

Found a wildtrak, exact build and color. I said I would buy at 5k over MSRP and salesman said that should work. General Manager said it was firm at 10k I said screw you and walked away. Luckily found an Outer Banks elsewhere that is 5 over and pulled the trigger.

I liked the, "Ford does that automatically so we can't be held to that price." What, put the pictures you took of it on your lot with your building in the background without an ADM and posts it to your website?

Don’t most states have laws against false advertising like this. Bait and switch! See if you can find the code and go back and let them know it’s the advertised price or contact state consumer affairs. Make sure you get them on record for the higher price.

I bought mine from a dealer with markup (got it down a little but it was exactly what I wanted and I was ready). They had 2 others on the lot but weren’t priced online yet. When I went in to finalize the paperwork and pick mine up, they had a Cyber Orange BD just like mine priced at MSRP online. I was about to ask why mine was marked up until I saw the CO was marked up too and they changed it online in the 15 min drive to the dealer.

Someone in the online department probably got their hind end chewed for that.

Just grabbed my badlands with sas package and hardtop this past weekend. Pretty much has what I want minus the lux package, has the mid package. Still has the 12” screen and marine leather. Sticker is 61,590. They wanted 5k over. Said ill come in right now for 3k extra at most. Thats all im paying over msrp. They ended saying ok but then said it has gap and karr security installed which is another 2k. So essentially the mark up was 3k + 2k for gap and karr security. I said whatever and got it. So they got the 5k. The karr security is worthless, even with the app its a joke. The gap is nice to have I guess, hopefully never needed.

This is what dealers are now doing. They may not charge over MSRP, but they add items no one wants like key replacement insurance, or Nitrogen filled tires, or you get it. If you are wiling to wait, place an order online and then when it arrives it 'should' be what you ordered without the add on charges shit you don't want.

Right. To me it was…wait 1yr (most likely more then 1year as what I want ford isnt even allowing when placing orders) or pay 5k more. Basically what I currently have, ford is emailing people and telling them to change the order. I took the latter of the two options and forked over a bit more. I dont mind the gap insurance as that is something that could be used. But the karr security is simply a disguised mark up. Also my jeep lease was up and I got $4k back on the trade in since I was way under mileage. Was it the best. No. I want msrp. But based on what im reading. $5k is not that bad of a mark up for non-order holders. Still leaves a sour taste though.

I would never go to a dealer without confirming that the bronco is available and they will sell it to me at MSRP, and I've called just about every dealership within 500 miles of Columbus, OH

Guess how many dealerships I've visited since I sold mine?

Not a single one.
