We just picked up our Outer Banks Lux on Wednesday and have notice there is a few areas where the headliner is peeling off the top? We push it back down but it seems the adhesive just isn't sticky enough anymore. Has anyone had issues with their headliner peeling back at some edges? I'm gonna take it into the dealership to see if they can get it to restick with something but wanted to check and see if anyone had an easy fix or solution like 3M foam tape or something. Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the sound deadening? Or is there something else that has to do with LUX that Iā€™m not understanding?

The sound deadening doesnā€™t have anything to do with LUX.

if itā€™s coming off can you use spray adhesive?

I think the sound deadening is the same for all hard tops regardless of the package ordered. OP, pics will help in determining the issue.

I thought the Lux package came with added sound deadening stuff. I guess I assumed this was that. I havenā€™t seen any other broncos to know, my bad. But hereā€™s a pic. It just keeps popping back down, drives me crazy.

I'd take it back to the dealership and have them either:

  1. Fix it
  2. Remove it properly, and go buy/install some better quality sound deadening

yeah it's not the greatest quality liner thats for sure

some have had similar issues, but think it's been fine for most, myself included
take it back to the dealer, they can fix quickly

I would take back to your dealer. It is under warranty and might as well use it. You shouldn't have to fix it yourself if it is under warranty.

The "extra" sound deadening is all in the engine compartment. Doesn't do much for wind and road noise. Either way the headliner is mediocre at best, mine has a few loose spots too, but I'm just going to get an aftermarket one eventually so I haven't bothered with getting it warrantied.

I would make sure it's not moisture coming in through the seam.

Itā€™s not moisture. Weā€™ve only had the car a few days and gave it a car wash yesterday and there was no leaks or wet spots anywhere. Thanks for the feedback, Iā€™ll make an appt with the dealership and let you all know how they handle it.
