Correct me if I am wrong, I gather from what I have read, is that the amber lights are strictly for show, not a true fog light? I ask as I have to drive in snowstorms and I require a true fog light.
True?
They're SAE approved, if I read everything correctly. Why wouldn't you be able to use them as fogs?

I just asked this exact question on another thread where a guy posted his photos of these lights...

I can't tell if the amber option is more of an "accent" light and not so much a true, bright, amber fog. Really wanna know the answer......

I have these and the amber are more like running lights. I don't see them helping in fog much.
Ok, thanks....that's a little disappointing, but they do look really good.

Bummer that it appears they are just for show. I need a good set of yellow/amber fogs, and these looked good and at a good price. My search will have to continue!

From what I have read, they are a low wattage amber light, not able to project into fog/snow. Sadly...

I had a look, a good price for a good light. How are you going to mount them?
Well there’s two options for me

I have the capable bumper with OEM fogs (l posted photo above)

these ss3’s supposedly can replace my factory fogs but my idea is to somehow fit them in that opening so I have have white and amber

just gonna order and start experimenting

Looks good, I'm going to try and install mine today after work. I know you mentioned that the whites are for off-road only, but what is the spread on those? Are they floods or spots?

They are labeled as spots but in my opinion they are combo. We offer only 1 beam pattern in the kit. Im sure you will love it. Please post some photos after installation

Got them installed yesterday, took about an hour and a half. Was pretty simple although I did have an issue crimping the aux wires. They kept slipping out. Probably operator error. I wound up just shoving the wires in the connector and heat shrinking the plastic around it. Anyway here are some pictures. I love the ambers as a nice accent lighting. The whites are extremely bright! Definitely off road only. All in all I really like them, but for people looking for a true fog light these probably aren't for you. The whites are too powerful and the ambers are not powerful enough.

I also included a bonus photo of the aux switch labels I installed from stickerfab.
