For all of those who have received these, have you installed yet? I received mine, but now waiting on my Kicker KS 6-3/4” to arrive from Crutchfield. I’m hoping the 6-3/4” fit in these since they are technically for 6.5” speakers. Anyone know?

Installed these last week and have a couple of observations. Used Alpine R-S65.2 R series speakers and had a hard interference between the Mabett speaker cover and tweeter. Could have left it alone but used a hole saw to remove the center section to avoid buzzing through the housing. I did apply boom mat inside the housing. The @Mabett speaker grill itself is a tad tricky to lock into place; watch the tabs as they are rather thin as opposed to oversize. Helps to manually and gently move them to better align with matching tab locks on the housing. Other than the tabs being weaker than expected the housing is well made.

Side note; @Mabett agreed to refund the price difference (Amazon 15% off code that was invalid) December 20th... it's been two weeks and no refund. There is a definite improvement with the 6.5 speaker in the rear of the vehicle. Lastly, tried to order the Hoel Auto speaker wire harness via Amazon, never shipped, contacted Hoel via their website, crickets.... ended up with >> https://www.ebay.com/itm/334484403052 and couldn't be more happy. These harness adapters work exactly as intended and very well made.
