Mid package-ambient footwell lighting

I too spent time onboard a ship in the NS, MV Skandi Fjord. At sea you really do need to keep your eyes tuned to the darkness. My BMW has amber light around the door trim that is dimmable and quite pleasant if you are sitting in the car not driving. But BLUE! The only reason I would want to have any blue light in my car when I was driving at night was to constantly stimulate my brain to think it was night time so I would nod out while driving.
