Getting things ready for the trip!
I bought some extra tie rod thingys, and a hitch slider.

What are you getting/doing to prepare for the trip?
I'm mounting a whip light and then getting enough LED's to use up my Aux Switches. I'll either poach some trails at night or host a dance party around the campfire.

I might roll in early Monday morning. AirB&B check in is 4pm Monday, so I would only be up for a partial “down and back” of The Rim, not the whole 100 miles. Plus I’m a 2-door on 36’s so I probably couldn’t make the whole thing anyway LOL
I'm looking at arriving Monday morning as well. Drop off at the KOA and would love to hit a trail!

I was told when there are big events such as this, the trails and blocked off for people who have paid for the event.
If this is the case it will certainly affect our side show. There may even be time when people wish to avoid certain trails based on what the official group is doing. I'm thinking our spreadsheet will mostly be useful for the days bookending the official event.

@SuzH I was thinking we might want to start a separate thread in the PNW section for those of us thinking about caravanning down. Maybe stop and see some stuff though eastern OR, Boise, and SLC.

Everyone should have a strap and shackles minimum.
You would think! :p
Was stuck on a trail with a guy who had a totally decked out base. He had it all. It LOOKED awesome.
NO safety gear or rock sliding protection.
WAY out in the boondocks the dork slips off a rock and bust his transmission case.
We had to pull his ass all the way out, break a lock to get to a road and get him towed away.

Common sense doesn't exist in some!

So we register and pay, and then just before the event starts we're told what trails we'll be doing? Is that basically how the whole thing will work for the five days? Do they organize group get togethers for dinner or whatever or would we do that ourselves?
Did you get answers to this?

I think you can decide what difficulties or trails you're interested in, and join those specific groups.
I believe there's a big dinner or something on Friday at the end, but for the most part, you'll be on your own for meals and stuff.

I agree. I will as well.

These are public trails - they can't block them off for an event. I have run many trails that the EJS use - just get there before they do, otherwise you'll be stuck behind the large group...

I just asked on the FB page when they're releasing the itinerary.

Information from last year is spotty but it looks like they had a breakfast to kick it off.

Not yet.

The info below is enough for me to feel comfortable spending $165 to be a part of it all, especially the opportunity to chill with tons of other Bronco owners. But I'd still like to understand the itinerary a little more. I'm also still debating if I want to use four vacation days for it. If I knew the schedule, maybe I'd only attend some of the days...

It's a cesspool but sometimes the only source for info, plus it's taken over as the largest buy/sell/trade site I think.
