Hey, I'm having the same problem with the factory tube steps, that about half of the width is under the body. So when stepping in, you need to be careful that your toe doesn't hit the underbody and scratch, and stepping out, you need to carefully place your heal on the tube step so you don't slip off or gouge the door sill in the process. I guess I was spoiled when I had my GMC Yukon, where your had a wide running board to step in and out of the Yukon! I applied Xpel clear PPF to the door sills for this very reason, but unfortunately, someone from the factory/transport peeps, put several scratches on the door sill. Hopefully, in the near future, I can find a wider replacement for my mall-crawler, which will give it better protection from chips/rocks until mud flaps come out!Love the look. How functional is the step? Looks a lil close to the slider like maybe only people with size 7 can fit Wife gonna use it more than me so I guess that's ok lol
