You can do both.

I decided I’m just going to coat from the bottom of the door down with that flexseal black rubber stuff before I put my goat sliders on. And maybe get some of that skateboard type grip tape for when it’s wet??
Should be here in a few weeks.

I know you made you decision but did you consider Metaltech 4x4 sliders? They are easily mounted to the frame with a tried and true platform they have been using for years.

I’m much in the same boat as the Goat Fab did catch my eye. For me it’s a toss up of Rock Slide Engineering, Metaltech 4x4, and Goat Fab. I may be somewhat be on the vertically challenged side otherwise I would go with something like from Next Venture.

Didn't know they existed till just now. But, it seems like it wouldn't have worked since I have a 2 door and their steps say that they are 4-door compatible.

I think there was a post in one of the topics here that they are working on a 2 door variant. I feel more comfortable about a frame mount than body/pinch weld mount even though I probably do about the same off-roading as you. If they don’t get used as sliders as much at least you would have a decent step and more importantly protection from random door impacts at the mall or Starbucks

I'm curious for those that considered Goat Fab and Zroadz if they also looked at Havoc Trailcrawlers. They're about $500 less and am wondering if there's something I'm overlooking. I see there's about a .25" less thickness. Anything else I should be taking into consideration?

Difference in price reflects cheaper tubing and Chinese labor. Fine if it’s the look you are after.

Ahh, that makes sense. Looks like I'll be going with Zroadz. Thanks!

That’s part of the problem. Many fab shops with plans for the 2 door, but few products. Goat Fab would not have been my first choice in design, but they were about the only viable option for real sliders when I bought them. You can only wait so long.
